Yizhuo Lu (Lizzie) - PhD Student

BackGround

Yizhuo (Lizzie) is a full-time PhD student at the University of Manchester, working as part of the Passport to Success trial. Her research focuses on the effectiveness of school-based interventions in promoting students' social skills and emotional regulation capacities. She's also interested in using mixed methods to conceptualise peer relationships, loneliness and resilience among children in the school settings. She finished her first master's degree in educational psychology at the University of Sheffield. She previously worked as a secondary school teacher in supporting students' mental health difficulties in China, in particular with connecting family and school to work together to foster resilience following school bullying and peer victimization among adolescent girls.
